On my skin there’s a track,
Against me, an attack,
In my mind, there’s crack,
An education, a lack.
I can see but I’m blind,
My spirit is kind,
Insanity on my mind,
But discrimination drives mankind.
Does it matter if I’m black or white?
We all do what we have to. It’s a fight.
Want to speak the truth? Gossip flies at the speed of light,
And last as along as an endless night.
When you hear music, you dance.
You’ll listen twice to give it a chance.
You love it, you fall in trance.
You even use the lyrics in a sentence.
I may be different but I’m just like you.
Black or white. I can learn to love even if you’re blue.
We’re all the same, right? So true.
I pray to God that he’ll show you.
What do you see?
Humanity is vast sea.
It’s as easy as ABC,
To see yourself when you see me.
