Lack Of Communication With You
The job of a babysitter is to communicate with parents. There should be end of shift, telephone, or email reporting. They should even want to engage in small talk. Your child’s well being should be their number one priority. If they always seem disconnected, you may have a problem.
Your Child Is Afraid Of Babysitter
Your child should be comfortable with the sitter. There should be an eventual bond between your child and the caregiver. First, give your child some time to adjust to the sitter. If they are always in serious distress about being left with them, you should investigate the situation. Warning signs include crying uncontrollably or constant complaints about the sitter.
Child Has Too Many Accidents
Your child shouldn’t have frequent accidents. If they are, the sitter may be leaving your child unattended. This is a serious sign they are neglecting your child and are not trustworthy. Look over your child to make sure there are no injuries.
Caregiver Is Never On Time
Emergencies can happen anytime. However, if they are frequently late, you may have a problem on your hands. A sitter that is constantly late can disrupt your plans or schedule. If their tardiness is making you late, it may be time to replace them. Be sure that the sitter is considerate of your needs and committed to the job.
