I had a weight-loss goal of 50 pounds. I lost my first 30 pounds, 60 percent of my weight-loss goal, in 30 days, and it took only 26 more days to to loose the last 40 percent. So this is my story of how I lost 50 pounds in 56 days in less than two months. I did it and you can too. Here’s how I did it:
I TOOK A MULTIVITAMIN PILL
No, I never took a diet pill but I did take a multivitamin (Women’s One-A-Day) every morning with a glass of water. Never neglect your health even when you’re on a diet. Three rules to live by: 1. Eat Right. 2. Exercise. 3. Stay Healthy.
I ATE THREE TIMES A DAY
For breakfast, I had a shake. For lunch, I had a shake. For dinner, I had another shake. Those three shakes I had, daily, were made by emptying a package of Carnation Breakfast Essentials into a glass, adding skim milk, stirring the shake, and drinking it. The best thing about Carnation Breakfast Essentials is that it’s nutritious: 10 percent of protein, 140 percent of vitamin C, 25 percent of calcium, and 25 percent of Vitamin D. I ATE TWO SNACKS A DAY
In between my daily meals, I at a celery stick.
I NEVER ATE AFTER 7PM
I woke up everyday at 8AM, I had my breakfast shake at 9AM, I had my first snack at 10AM, I had my lunch shake at 12PM, I had my second snack at 2PM, I ran at 3PM (on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays), I had my dinner shake at 6PM, and I went to be at 10PM.
I DRANK PLENTY OF WATER
The only beverages I had was water. I didn’t drink soda, I didn’t drink tea, I didn’t drink any alcoholic beverages, and I only had one cup of coffee a day, in the morning. So after drinking that one cup of coffee, in the morning, the rest of my beverages, every day, was water.
I EXERCISED EVERYDAY
Every morning when I got up, I did ten sit-ups and ten push-ups and every night before I went to bed I did ten more push-ups and ten more sit-ups.
I RAN SIX MILES A WEEK
I ran two miles on Monday, two more miles on Wednesday, and two more miles on Friday. You don’t have to chose the same days as me but as long as it’s three days a week, two miles a day, you will be following my same work out rhythm.
And that’s what I did to lose 50 pounds in 56 days.
