There are a lot of good local restaurants in and around Carmel and many of them are either vegan or vegetarian friendly offering lots of vegan options. Here are top three vegan-friendly restaurants in Carmel that I personally like.
Woody’s Library Restaurant – This is a former library turned into a restaurant and is located in Carmel’s Arts district. This is a charming place where the folks are warm and friendly. Their service is great, and they have a bar downstairs. There are several options on the menu with good selections for gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan dishes to choose from. When we went, I had the vegetarian pot pie and it was just as delicious as any other dish. You can enjoy your dishes with a varied selection of local brews. Check out their website for the menu options, their prices and the history of the restaurant.
Qdoba Mexican Grill – The Mexican restaurant located at Clay Terrace food court serves the freshest vegetables and delicious cheesy Mexican dishes. Open generally from 8 AM to 10 PM, the restaurant serves large portions of Mexican dishes that are tasty, cheap and good. The portions we ordered was so large, we had to pack away the rest for later. We also got a big bag of chips to go along with it. They have lots of vegan options on the menu such as cheesy nachos to taco salads.
Pita Pit – Finally, the last vegan-friendly restaurant I want to list is the best I liked so far. The Pita Pit, located in Indianapolis, serves sandwiches and salads with pitas and offers the freshest vegetables to choose from. You can build your own pita sandwiches or pita pockets by choosing what you want to put in it. Their sauces are delicious as well and they serve falafels. There are several vegan options on the menu and the items are reasonably priced. Operating between 10 AM to 9 PM, it is a perfect place to get your breakfast, lunch, snack or dinner fix.
