This franchise has been first introduced in 1999 and has been progressively growing ever since. Each year the game has become more realistic given the gamer a more legitimized NBA feel. The FIFA franchise has been the most noticeable and reputable creators of some of the best soccer games on the market today. The concept has been based on the real life thrill of spectating the yearly World Cup, an event where various countries compete for the inheritance of respect and fulfillment of destiny through championship achievement. This franchise was first produced in the late 90’s and has continued to exceed levels of excitement and entertainment. The FIFA franchise has always done a remarkable job of capturing the essence of that dramatic and joyous feel after scoring that winning goal to earn the prestigious World Cup.
3. Madden NFL
Whenever you think football video games, the first thing that usually comes to mind is Madden NFL. Technically the first Madden game was produced in 1988 for Ms-Dos. Since then the creators behind the franchise have created an elaborate and realistic authenticity to the football franchise. According to CNN, the franchise is worth nearly $4 billion. When the calculations are that high there is definite indication that the franchise is doing something right!
4. Tony Hawk
The Tony Hawk franchise has created many of the best skateboarding games ever made. This franchise is credited for producing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3. Like many other games, the original usually began on a less sophisticated platform with two dimensional visuals. According to Gamasutra, the first skateboarding game arrived in 1986 as an arcade game. Then in 1987 a second skateboarding game, Skate or Die hit the market. Since then, Activision created a revolutionary change to the skateboard gaming industry by merging with professional skateboarder Tony Hawk to produce a highly entertaining video game.
5. WWE 2K
Although WWE 2k is technically a newborn franchise, high expectations consume the die hard WWE fan and anticipation is injected into us as we await the next edition of the franchise. The first game released on this line was WWE 14. This game definitely set the bar high with its “30 years of Wrestlemania mode,” in which the gamer is able to relive classic moments and memories that were spawned through the annual extravaganza.
