Baby showers occur almost every week of every year. Someone is always having a baby, or about to have a baby. Each year it seems like the planning of a baby shower gets more creative, and more interesting. This year it seems that they have added more creative games, and put new twists on old ones. Below are the top five baby shower games in 2014.
Number 1: Diaper Raffle
A diaper raffle can really be a lot of fun. In the invitations you want to include a nicely printed raffle ticket. The ticket should match the theme of your baby shower. On the ticket you will want to put the instructions on the ticket. It should say what to do in order to enter the raffle like bring a special gift, in order to enter the game. Then at the shower you can have a box for all of the raffle tickets. Make sure that each person remembers to put their name on the raffle ticket. Then at some point during the party, you can pull out a few tickets. The tickets you pull will win the recipient a prize.
Number 2: Baby Survival Kit Game
The survival kit game is something you should hand out to each of the guests when you are ready to play the game. On the card each person will need to put a baby survival tip on the card. You can have the master list of top survival tips for new moms. These tips can be something obtained from online sites, or from other more experienced moms, like someones grandma. The person who names the most survival tips that match what is says on your card is the winner.
Number 3: Name that song
This is a fun game for those who truly love music. Or even if they just enjoy music. Any baby themed song is what can be used. You can make a list of songs that have the baby theme. At the shower you will need a radio with the pre-recorded songs. Then you will just play a small piece of the song and see who can guess the name of the song.
Number 4: Blind Diaper Change
Changing a diaper is easy for most moms, however a blind diaper change can be even more difficult. The key to this game is just to have fun. You will obviously need some baby dolls and some diapers as well. Then you can blind fold your guests eyes and allow them to race to see who can get it done fastest. Of course this is an old and tried game, but it still is a lot of fun and made the top five list for 2014.
Number 5: Who wrote that quote
For this game you will need some blank bibs, and a few markers. The bibs you can get from the local dollar store. You should have no probably finding a bunch of inexpensive bibs for your guests to write on. You can have all of the bibs laid out on the table near the entrance when they come into the location. Then you will have each guest write a quote as they walk in the door. Then later on during the party the mom-to-be needs to try and guess who wrote which quote. This is a great way for a soon to be mom to see how well she knows her family and friends.
