Whether you are fishing, having a barbeque, or mowing the lawn these are the most refreshing craft beers available made in New England. These local brews are a few different styles but have a few things in common. All are very light and a few can be enjoyed and they are lightly fruity but only a subtle addition behind a well crafted beer.
Harpoon UFO Raspberry Hefeweizen
The UFO line made by Harpoon brewery is a selection of unfiltered craft beers in a few different styles. The Raspberry Hefeweizen is one of the best for the summer. It is slightly heavier in body yet light and refreshing in flavor. A mild bitter flavor from the raspberry is a faint finish flavor after a crisp citrus start while the whole flavor profile feels well balanced overall. This Hefeweizen has an ABV of 4.8%. Seadog Blueberry Wheat

Magic Hat Elder Betty
For anyone who has not tried a Magic Hat beer i will start by saying that originality is what drives their business. Under every cap you will find a witty saying and all of the labels have very unique art drawings. With flavors they do not stay within the box. From the apricot infused #9 to this unique fruit ale brewed with elderberry. This beer is 5.5%ABV and is a weiss style ale with a malt focus balanced by the tartness of the berry. Atlantic Brewing Company Blueberry
Yes, another blueberry beer. This is similar to the others but is standalone in its ability to be a fruit beer that really has no fruit taste. As you crack one of these open a hint of blueberry smell wafts up toward your nose, but never lands on your tongue as you take a sip. It is an amber ale clocking in at 5.1%ABV and if you can find it near you should be on the list for the next barbeque. Head on over to their beer finder!
