Workplace bullying is a common problem. It occurs when you are mistreated by a boss or co-worker. It can occur in many forms, such as humiliation, threats, or intimidation.
Unfortunately, some people aren’t aware they’re bullied at work. It is important to recognize the signs, before anything can change. Here are a few signs below:
-You are starting a new task, without any support or help. Your boss doesn’t give you time to learn new skills. Also, you get yelled at for not doing the job perfectly.
-A boss befriends you, with some underlying motive. They are too interested in your personal life and try to involve you in social activities, after work. They seem to show you more support than the other co-workers.
– Your boss or co-workers purposely ignore you. They may not invite you to important meetings or other social events at work. When you try to have conversation, they act as if they don’t hear you.
-Your boss always put you down about every little thing. They make you feel as if you are not an important asset to the job. They never communicate with you about your work or progress. They constantly criticize your work. They never praise you.
