Things You Should Know
Though most of these games don’t require you to have iOS 7.1 or later, they run exceptionally smooth with iOS 7.1. Of course, this article was written in April of 2014, so if you have a later version you’ll be okay. In case you don’t know how to check what version of iOS you are running:
- From home screen tap Settings
- Select General then About
- Scroll down until you see Version Number
That will be the current version of iOS that you are running. Lastly, all of these games are free to download from the App Store as of April 13, 2014. Whether they are free by the time you get to this article is entirely up to you to find out.

In this pixel based game made by NimbleBit, the goal as to build a tower jam packed with businesses, apartments for your ‘bitizens’ and make money. The game features VIP’s which assist in your small tower businesses, ‘bux’ made to help speed things up, upgrades and more. This game is very friendly and will probably have you checking on your tower every half hour.
9.Temple Run II
In this game created by Imangi Studios Inc, the goal in this game is to get as far as you can avoiding obstacles all while being pursued by some sort of cave dwelling ape monster. Never-the-less, this game is certainly addicting, and can even be perfect for the kids! Though their is a creepy monster trying to grab you while you’re running, it’s very simple and isn’t very violent.
In Space Team, created by Henry Smith, the goal of the game is to travel through space safely with team mates and avoid being blown to bits by comets. Connecting to team mates via WiFi or bluetooth, each team mate is given buttons with names, and also a button or control to turn, push, raise or lower. This game absolutely requires your undivided attention and great team skills. WARNING: This game can actually become very intense.
In Bloodmasque, produced by Square Enix Inc, you take on the role of a half vampire, half human vampire slayer. The action packed game play is lined with explosions, creatures and gore. This game is also very known for its ability to put your face on your character in game. The game features many multi player capabilities, including blood bonds with others. Bloodmasque is not meant for the faint-hearted, or those easily scared!
Whether you do or don’t know who the character Sonic is, this game created by SEGA is the classic game with a huge twist. It’s very similar to games such as Temple Run and Iron Man 3. The goal in the game is to avoid obstacles, while collecting the infamous gold coins. The game does feature power-ups and upgrades to help you collect even more gold coins. This game is a definite fit for kids.
In this game released by NaturalMotion, you take on the role of a street racer. You face others head-to-head and time your gear switching perfectly to win the race. Featuring online multi player and a career, this game has crisp graphics and many customizable options for your car. It’s a great game for anybody that wants to race on their iDevice without having to move the device around too much.
4.Real Racing 3
Made by Electronic Arts, this game is great for any fans of Need For Speed or racing games in general. Aside from just racing your car, you can upgrade, customize and buy other vehicles. With amazing graphics, competitive multi player and career mode, this game might even deserve to be higher on this list!
3.Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff
Family guy fan or not, this game released by TinyCo Inc is all types of entertainment packed into one app. The plot was that Peter and his formidable chicken foe have destroyed the entire city of Quahog, and it is now up to you to fix it! The game features actual cut away gags including all of the Family Guy characters, unlock-able characters, speed boosts and more! This game is obviously great for any Family Guy fans — like me — as well as anybody that liked The Simpsons: All Tapped Out, as they are very similar.
2.Batman: Arkham Origins
In this action-packed combat game produced by Warner Bros, Batman is at it again; with all of the villain butt kicking you would expect from this super hero. This game has many features, including different bat suits, obtainable items, power-ups, character upgrades, new moves and so much more. With nothing less than amazing graphics, the game is very addicting and even includes actual boss matches! You don’t have to be a Batman fan to appreciate this one.
1.Eternity Warriors 3
This game — created by Glu Games — undoubtedly earns its spot as number one on this list. From World of Warcraft fans, to RuneScape fans, this game surpasses all expectations of what an iOS game would look and feel like. With amazing graphics, creatures, power-ups, gods, demons, armors, items, potions and everything else an RPG would consist of, this game is an absolute hit, and a personal favorite of mine. This game surrounds the capabilities that a PC game would have. Interact with other players, upgrade your armor and weapons, and kill some demons, fiends and creature while doing so. This game should definitely be your next download to your iDevice.
