I don’t mean toilet like the French mean toilette, with a silver tray, lots of powders, and exquisite perfumes. I mean toilet like the potty. I work from 7-6 every day. I wake up at 5 am. I have learned how to utilize toilet time for more than bodily functions. I want to help you save some time in your busy schedule by utilizing toilet time.
To enable these procedures, I have moved my make up drawer to the drawer closet to the toilet. I also have moved my electronic hair tools, like my straighter and curling iron, close to the toilet.
Things I Can Do Safely at Toilet Time
Remove finger nail polish or toe nail polish
Apply toe nail polish (fingernail polish is too messy for toilet time)
Apply mascara (foundation seems to be too messy)
Tweeze my eyebrows and my lip area
File my fingernails
Change my jewelry
Prepare my tights and hose for wearing
Throw away picked hose or tights
Use my curling iron or straightener (always check in the mirror afterwards)
Put mousse or straightener elixir in my hair for styling
Put on my socks and shoes
Put my hair in a pony tail or barrettes
Put in or take out my contact lenses
Clean and moisturize my face
Floss my teeth
Use my teeth whitener product and trays
I know this list and these actions sound silly, but there are mornings when I am literally a minute or two away from arriving late for work. Florida traffic is very unpredictable. If I can save five mere minutes when I am otherwise occupied, then another part of my morning routine might not be so stressed or rushed. And starting your day stressed or rushed is just no fun!
