There are so many different options out there for acne. However, a lot of them wouldn’t work for my skin. There are only few things that have worked for me so far and have kept my skin clear. I used expensive products out there on the market some worked a little and some not at all. I’ve found that the most beneficial treatments that have worked are the ones that were inexpensive and not targeted towards the treatment of acne. Here are a few things that work for me that I would like to share. Hopefully they will work for you also, while saving you money in the process.
Yogurt and Lemon
Yogurt and lemon mixed together have worked wonders for my blemishes. I just put it on my skin twice a day and it’s great. The cultures in the yogurt kill all the bad bacteria that lives on skin that cause breakouts. It also helps create a more even skin tone and smooth completion. The downside is it takes a little longer to see results, but it does work. Don’t use if you have very sensitive skin because the lemon can cause irritation.
Yes, nasal spray works to zap a zit. Now before you do this at home, I’m not a doctor or health professional. So ask a doctor before trying it in your skin. I’m just simply saying it works for me. I put nasal spray on a pimple when I see one starting to form, and by the next day the pimple is gone or significantly smaller. Now of course this is for a spot treatment not for the entire face. A just put a drop a little on my face directly from the bottle, or ad some to a clean cotton ball. Make sure you don not touch the pimple with your hands. Dirt and oil will on your fingers will make the problem worse.
Don’t Pop It!
I’ve found that popping a pimple when its big, just causes more problems. First off, it makes the pimple even bigger on your face because it gets irritated. Second the bacteria is going to spread to other parts of your skin and possibly lead to other break outs. And third, it usually will leave bigger mark on your skin than if you just leave it alone.
Vitamin K is great for blemishes. I put it on my skin daily and I’ve had less breakouts. Also blemishes come in a lot lighter, so it fades a lot quicker. I love using Vitamin k and Vitamin C mixed together for more effective results. Again, this works for me, hopefully it does for you all as well.
Wash Your Face Three Times a Day
I wash my face three times a day and sometimes four depending on how oily my skin is. I have naturally oily skin, and the oil build up will clog my pores and cause me to break out. So I just wash my face with a gentle cleanser and it keeps my skin a lot clearer and less oily.
