Pack ahead smoothies
It may sound a little weird to pack smoothies in advance, but it is something that can be done. Using Ziploc bags, you can pack all of the ingredients into one large bag. All of the ingredients that you need to blend up daily for the smoothies can be sliced and packed up. For example in one bag you can place the greens, the vegetables, and the fresh fruit in the fridge. Be sure to place a date on the outside of the bags. If you have specific smoothies that are made for certain family members be sure to put the name on each.
Plan ahead meals
A lot of moms like the idea of planning their meals ahead of time. This allows you to make sure that all of the ingredients you are using are fresh, and healthy for your family. Planning your meals ahead of time, helps to make sure nothing vital is missed. Try using a calendar to write down the meals that you are planning to make. If you place the calendar on the fridge you can verify that you have all of the ingredients for each week. It will also make it easier to plan out the meals from week to week.
This is also a great opportunity to teach your kids how to eat properly and healthy everyday. Take the time to train your kids. If you make smoothies everyday then show them how to do it. Allow them to help you in the dinner making process. This will help the kids learn the right things to put into their bodies and what items to avoid.
Get outside and play
One thing that is often missed is getting enough vitamins from the sun. Kids enjoy playing video games, but don’t enjoy getting outside in the sun. You can help your kids get outside, play, and have fun. While you are doing this they will be getting all the additional vitamins that is provided by the sunlight. This is also time that you will have to plan and schedule.
