Oranges can be made into drinks and eaten as a raw fruit. You can even use oranges to cook and flavor foods with. A good fresh orange can be a very refreshing treat on a hot day or a tasty on a cold day. Oranges are full of vitamin C and can be a good treatment for the common cold.
Oranges are great to make drinks with. A glass of plain orange juice can taste great just like that but you can also add other juices to the orange juice. Mix orange juice with lime or lemon and the juice will not be as sweet as if it is just orange. Grapefruit juice will also make the juice less sweet and it will add a bitter flavor to the juice.
You can drink juice out of the refrigerator or you can add ice to it. I like it room temperature because I think it is more flavorful. The temperature of the juice will affect the flavor of the juice you are drinking.

Orange slices are great to put on top of meat as it is cooking. A chicken, duck or ham can be flavored with some orange slices on the top as it is cooking. You can make a dish called orange chicken which has slices of orange in it. I have had a soup called orange and bean soup which I really did not care for.
Fruit salad can have oranges in it. The oranges make a sweet flavor that can spread onto other fruits that have more of a sour taste. Cover sour strawberries with some orange juice and it can add a sweet flavor. You can mix many different fruits together in bite size chunks for a tasty fruit salad where all the fruit flavors mingle together.
Jello can have fruit in it and many times oranges are used as the fruit in the jello. You can put oranges in orange, lemon or strawberry jello.
Cake is great with oranges in it. Orange cake with lemon or vanilla frosting makes a nice combination. You can make orange cake and put strawberries or raspberries on the top.
