There are so many diets out there, and I find it hard to stay on all of them. I can’t live without sugar, carbs, meat, and anything else some of these diets ask for you to give up. I tried eating all veggies and the juicing diet, and it is effective. However, it’s not realistic for me. I know eventually I will want a hamburger, fries and a cheesecake on the side. So how can you loose weight without depriving yourself of food? Here are a few things that work for me that keeps me looking like I workout in the gym at least one day of the week.
Drink lots and lots of water. Water is the best thing in the world. Its healthy for every part of your body. If you drink 8 (8 ounce) glasses of water a day, you will flush out toxins in your body. Water also aids in digestion and will help your body move the food through your body and out as waste. Bowel movements are necessary each day. I drink a glass of water before eating every meal. That way I will eat less and feel full faster.
This part might not sound as easy. Exercise is hard work, but the good news is you only need to do it for at least 30 minutes everyday. You can take your time and walk and feel good about yourself while doing it. I always do some type of exercise before I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner for about 15 minutes. That way my body will metabolize the food I eat faster.
Portion size is very important. It’s the key to loosing weight. If you know you are eating something high in fat or sugar, eat a small portion of it only once a day. I try to make sure my portion size isn’t more than 150 calories. That way I can have my cake and eat it too.
Snack on veggies
If you know you are going to eat good meals throughout the day, snack on only healthy stuff. You can have anything low in calories whenever you feel hungry thought the day.
Lastly, don’t eat before bed, and drink green tea with lemon 30 minutes after your meals. This is the regimen I follow and I can live with. I look fit and healthy and love my body.
