There are several ways you can have your child prepared for Pre-K and Kindergarten. A lot of them are easy to access and inexpensive. The value of learning is priceless, and you want to give them as much of a head start as possible.
Buy Leap Frog Videos
My daughter loves leapfrog videos. I can get them in the store fir around ten dollars. The letters video is very interactive and my daughter learned her alphabet and alphabet sounds in a few weeks. It was great! She recognizes letter, knows their sound and can even write them. They have videos for all sorts of things from number, letter, shapes and colors and beyond.
I buy workbooks for my daughter at the dollar store they are really cheap, just a dollar. this is great practice and I work with her on problem solving and matching etc.
Buy a Writing Pad
Writing pads are great for kids to learn how to write their name and so on. I get the kind with lines so that my daughter can try to focus on staying in the lines and keeping the letters together. If you can find the erasable kind with markers that’s great too. Kids love writing with markers so its more fun.
Video or Computer Games
There are lots of educational videos and computer games out now. You should definitely take advantage of them. For my child when she’s playing computer games that are educational, she’s having a great time learning. We as parents are happy because they are learning and they are happy because they are having fun. You can download educational games fro free or you can buy them. Either way its accessible and affordable.
