When you wake up in the morning you should ask yourself, “What can I do to be better today?” The truth is, there is plenty. We all have something we want to or wish we would/could do. The problem is many don’t want to admit what it is they can do better because it may involve a bit of work, sacrifice, or extra effort. It’s easier to ignore the things we don’t do to achieve our results and blame something or someone else. Blaming genetics, physical limitations, or the weather is simply an excuse. Notice the key word in not following through…BLAME.
When you go to bed at night you should ask yourself, “Did I do everything I could to reach my goal?” If you can’t say yes then you have nobody to blame but yourself. Business people study, take notes, read and learn in an effort to be successful. Champions train, sacrifice and aren’t afraid to try, day in and day out, to become the best. All successful people understand they need to give it their all throughout every single task they do. They realize time is precious and that a missed opportunity to become better is simply a missed opportunity. There will never be a perfect time or a perfect moment to start; you have to create that moment, that time, that opportunity. If you aren’t pursuing your goals you are committing spiritual suicide; and when you are doing that you are destroying yourself.
What are you going to do to stay or get into the game? Don’t wait for someone else to make you happy or satisfy your need – it may never happen. It’s important to not only ask yourself what are you going to do today but more notably, “How am I going to do it?”…then do it. Be Epic.
