I have family in New York, and have been to New York enough times to know that. They pride themselves on their bagels. And they should. But a good bagel doesn’t have to come from New York City. There are Bagels in Memphis, Tennessee, that are really good too! In fact, some of them are exceptional! Here are the three best places to get bagels in this awesome southern city:
1. City East Bagel and Grille: This delicious breakfast and lunch place serves just about every kind of bagel that you can think of in addition to other breakfast favorites like waffles and french toast. As well as yummy sandwiches. There is a fun family atmosphere to this delicious restaurant. The perfect place to go for a sunday brunch with family and friends. My personal favorite menu item is the “Eggel” sandwich, which you can get with bacon or sausage, or ham or salami! This place is very cute and a great breakfast spot.

2. Bogie’s Delicatessen: In a great location in Midtown, Memphis (near lots of shopping and a movie theatre), this place isn’t to be missed. It has a great patio, and everything on the menu is delicious. People love their fresh sandwiches, and I love their bagels.

3. Otherlands Coffee Bar and Exotic Gifts: A famous location in Midtown, Memphis, Otherlands is a spot with many loyal customers. The people that go to Otherlands, go there everyday, especially when it is warm. They play games and songs and chill out on the massive and beautiful back patio. Otherlands staff is friendly and many people call it home. Also, the bagels are delicious and the “bagel sandwich thing” is a must try. Any kind of bagel or cream cheese that you want, with a slice of fresh tomato and their special sauce (which is magic).
