The Silver Door Hands on Art & Crafts Center is a beautiful art experience. While the location is remote, to say the least, the travel is well worth the experience. This hands-on art studio is one of a kind and tons of fun.
Silver Door, is located in Bonifay, Florida, Bonifay is situated west of Tallahassee in the Florida Panhandle.
The quaint city is home to several well-known authors and quite a few fun boutiques. Castaway Seafood and Bar offers delicious seafood, if you choose to dine after your art experience. I recommend the Shrimp Po Boy for $6.99. A full menu can be accessed at http://www.castawayseafoodbonifayfl.com.
The family owned art center is family friendly and offers a plethora of art sessions. All sessions
are held in a spacious red barn. You can work with
- Mosaic tiles
- Crystals for bedazzling
- Paint for wood
The facility is available for parties, family reunions, and corporate events. Mark and Carla, the owners, will do the invitations, decorations, and catering if you want. Mark and Carla also encourage groups to come on field trips. School, churches, and all types of groups are welcome. Tours of the farm are available, as well as hay rides.
A Spring Break day camp will be offered the week of March 24. The times vary and each day features a different art medium. The cost is $25.00 a day or $100.00 for the week.
