WWE NXT exists since 2010 and has helped new talent since that year. Before WWE NXT exists the wrestlers WWE hired were for independent circuits or divisions. It was a disadvantage because it did not give them the time necessary to adapt an in-ring persona and develop their wrestling skills. After all some of today great superstars are for NXT. For example: Daniel Bryan, The Shield, The Wyatt Family, Wade Barrett, Sheamus and more. In this article I will talk about why the NXT WWE developmental program is a great success.
- 1) Develop microphone skills for superstars. The great example of that is Bray Wyatt. He gives the best promos in history. He just seems very comfortable giving promos, talking in the microphone. He has talk against superstars like the face of the company, John Cena. John Cena has 12 years in the company. Bray Wyatt just debuted in the WWE on July 8, 2013 and he talks like he owns the world. That confidence Bray Wyatt show couldn’t be possible if he wasn’t in the WWE NXT developmental program. Now he is ready to conquer the WWE.
- 2) Develop charisma for the superstars. When The Shield debuted on November, 2012 the WWE Universe fell in love with them. They started big attacking the biggest superstars in the company like John Cena, Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan. They have one mission in mind: justice. They were so confident of themselves that they show charisma. They attract the WWE Universe. Seconds ago they were newbies but then they made a statement and the WWE Universe will always remember that.
- 3) Give opportunities to the superstars until they are 100% ready for the big leagues. When Bo Dallas debuted in the WWE he was not 100% ready, neither 80%. He was about 50% ready. He was not special in the microphone and his in-ring skills needed improvement. After more than a year Bo Dallas returned to the WWE and he is a change man. He is confident on the microphone, has great in-ring abilities and has a great gimmick that will give him the opportunity to success in the company.
- 4) They prepare wrestlers to be champions. Right now all the championships are in hands of WWE NXT Alumni. For example: the WWE World Heavyweight Championship is in hands of Daniel Bryan, the Intercontinental Championship is in hand of Bad News Barrett, the US Championship is in hands of Sheamus, the Divas Championship is in hands of Paige and the Tag Team Titles are in hands of The Usos.
In conclusion, the WWE NXT developmental program is a successful program. It prepares superstars for all the challenges they will face. They learn to wrestle, to give great promos, to attract the WWE Universe and to be great champions. The NXT takeover is in high speed right now and the WWE Universe is ready.
