It’s that time of year again, day light savings time has submerged from crevices of invisible space into our physical realm. Time to move the clock forward allowing longer days and more sunlight as the time ticks on.
It’s that time of year when we manipulate space. We create for ourselves a whole new realm of existence that allows more of life to be lived. Or does it just seem that way.
But you have to love it, I mean having more light in your life with each given day. A whole extra hour to do whatever it is that that you will do.
But wait a minute, I was right in the middle of something….
Oh, I forgot, there’s no waiting for even a minute.
Time says push it forward, take a leap ahead and leave nothing behind, you can’t go back and get it anyway. Like the silent twenty minute meditation session that you do every morning at six thirty, or how about opening up your front door every week day at seven a.m. because that’s the time the dog starts barking at the newspaper driver who walks up to your front porch and leaves your newspaper on the front porch.
Nature says rearrange the whole picture, but you know it just time.
Now there will be a new plane of reality for all things to take place, oh but I missed the blue jays that sit on the oak tree branch in the afternoon, is it really time to pick up the kids how did I miss that?
And yet we do it twice a year every year, I mean manipulate Mother Nature as a means to serve us better. But I can remember when, I can remember driving home from work as the sun was setting, I hurried in the house thinking there was little time to prepare dinner and get the kids ready for school and now with the extra hour of daylight I won’t feel so pressured, I have all the time in the world as long as it is still daylight.
And so I have learned to embrace it all, the extra light and the darkness, for both realities have gifted me not just with time, because that will always change in one way or another, time will never stand still not even for a moment.
It is the sacred life interwoven within the space gifted in the now that is to be cherished for that is the essence of what time has also served, as so do we as being an interconnected spark of it all.
