The Chinese master Li Ching-Yuen Is perhaps one of the oldest men ever to walk the Earth. Chinese Imperial records uncovered by the New York Times in 1928 showed that he was born in Szechuan Province in 1677. These same Imperial records also show awards honoring Li Ching-Yuen that were given to him on his 150th birthday as well as his 200th.
When the reporters wrote this article about Li Ching-Yuen, he was over 250 years old. He died the next year, and his friends and family claimed that he said he had come to do everything he needed to do. He well could have lived even longer with the incredible life-enhancing techniques that he discovered during his many years walking the Earth.
When he was 130 years old, Li Ching-Yuen came across an ancient hermit in the mountains who was more than 500 years old. This hermit gave Li Ching-Yuen a set of Qigong and breathing exercises as well as many dietary recommendations. Master Li went on to use these methods that have come to be known as Adaptogeneesis to live for another 120 years.
These were good years as well. When he died, Master LiI appeared to be a vigorous man of around 60 years in age, which is amazing considering his real age was more than four times that figure. This three-pronged approach to healing that Adaptogenesis promotes is the key to anyone maximizing their chances to live a long and healthy life.
The three keys to adaptogenesis that Master Li used are practicing strenuous exercise, eating healing foods and consuming healthy herbs every single day without fail. This is the kind of commitment it takes to live for multiple centuries. For those who perhaps don’t want to completely dedicate themselves in this monkish manner, making some of the more important dietary changes is the most important thing.
There are many wonderful healing foods that Master Li recommended, but the most important of these is the goji berry. The goji berry has some amazing chemical compounds that appear to have a tremendous healing and life-sustaining properties. Goji berries are native to Asia, but they can now be found in health food and grocery stores throughout the world.
Anyone who is looking to enjoy the longest possible lifespan needs to look into making some of the changes that Master Li has laid down in his path to longevity. Starting with adding the goji berry to a regular diet and some daily exercise is a great step towards living a long and healthy life. All it takes is single step to walk a journey of a thousand years.
