Pepper Lounge Dance Club,
205 Locust, St. Louis
The decor of this swanky two story club is quite extravagant, including mahogany flooring, a granite bar, and plush velvet seating. Also tons of television screens plaster the walls and play music videos, so be aware; It is loud. You will find the dance floor packed full of well dressed 20-20 somethings, as the DJ plays a mix of modern rap and hip-hop, your typical club music. The tiki torch lit patio out back gives a break from the party, get in a smoke, or order a drink from the full stocked out door bar. At The Pepper Lounge Dance Club there is $10 cover for guys and $5 for ladies, and dress code as well. Parking is by valet, or you can park on the street if you don’t mind a short walk.

If you are looking for a dance club with Latin flavor, Club Viva is the best St. Louis dance club for salsa dancing. What’s really cool is that on Thursday nights, ladies drink free until 10:30, and you can also get a complimentary salsa dancing lesson on Thursdays and Saturdays. A very wide range of ages and peoples attend Club Viva,and there are a lot of serious dancers. Street parking is available.
Europe Night Club
710 N. 15th Street, St. Louis
The mission statement at the Europe Night Club is “Live, breathe, serve music,” and it is a dance club to the fullest sense of the word. On Saturdays, the DJ plays electro/house, top 40 hits, and international music. Fridays and Saturdays are the only two nights that they are open, and the hours are 10 PM to 3 AM.
The dress code is strictly enforced at Europe. No athletic wear, flip-flops,saggy pants or baseball caps. In other words, dress to impress. On Friday nights, they play electronic dance music all night long.
Cover charge is $5 for ages 21 and up. Minors are allowed in, but the cover charge is $10 before midnight, and $15 after.
The Mandarin Lounge Dance Club
44 Maryland Plaza, St. Louis
The Mandarin Lounge Dance Club is amazing, in terms of decor and design. It is a roof top venue that overlooks the central west end fountain. It is definitely on the upscale side, and the drink menu features such luxurious choices as a $50 cosmopolitan garnished with real gold. So, you would be right if you assumed that there is a dress code.
Pop, Hip hop, rock and retro is the typical music played at this dance club, which is open 9 PM to 1:30 AM on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and from 8:30 to 1:30 on Fridays.
