The morning was rustic in comparison to those of the prior week. Her hands held the warm cup of coffee that had smelled so wonderful in the rising of the morning sun. She had escaped his clutches to view the most wonderful and seductive sight.
There he stood in front of the long stables, preparing for yet another morning filled with activities. If he suspected that her eyes captured his being, he offered no clues. In one hand, he firmly gripped the whips that he would use to corral a set of wild horse atop the mountains in the distant sight. In the other, a tall cup of coffee to begin his day with.
Visions of his strength and confidence had shown through with each step that he took. She was oblivious of his destination but quite certain of his departure. With his disappearing frame, she felt the loss. Her mind drifted to the fantasies of her heart and the desires of her body. She had no clue that she had lost herself to the seductions of his arrival each morning.
His voice calling her name startled her and she had spilled her coffee down the front of her morning robe. His apologies were lost in the hustle to wrap her robe around her naked body. Suddenly, she felt his hand upon the swell of her back as he attempted to help her recover from the feel of the warm coffee as it seeped into the thin robe. She fluttered with excitement of his hand upon her body.
In his desperate bid to help her, he had not noticed her naked body until it was too late. The look of her slender and willing body caused his voice to stick in his throat. For a moment, he thought he felt her welcome his touch. He had often wondered if she wore anything under her robe. Each morning the temptation to come and greet her had gripped his manhood like never before. In these times, he often sought solace in the excuse to round up horses on the mountains up high. The further he stayed from his boss’s wife, the better he may fare in the future. He could not afford to lose his job. He promptly excused himself with a half-witted apology and the excuse that work needed to be done. It was unlikely that his feeling were much more than a wish on his part.
He rode off into the mountains faster and harder than ever before. He knew he pushed his horse beyond her limits but if he was to get her out of his mind, he must do so quickly. He felt her eyes stay on him well beyond the green pastures. Even after climbing the mountains, her smell lingered on. Never had he come so close as to breathe in her intoxicating scent. He knew that if he stayed a moment longer, he would not have been able to leave her side. He would have sought more than she would be able to deliver and he would have sought it with so much fever that it could have chased her away. If only he could find a way of knowing to what lengths she desired him, or if such was the case at all, then he wouldn’t torment himself each day.
Many fellow stable workers had sought her attention but none were ever able to garner it. To think that he of all thought he had a chance would have left the others in stitches of laughter. They had told many stories of potential suitors that had often called upon her after her husband had left for town. But so far, she had not let one grace her doorstep longer than a few moments. To hear the heckle from the crew each morning had left a distaste of each. Never should they dishonor such beauty with sensual conversations behind her back.
