Blackberries are delicious at anytime of the year but for some reason they just seem to taste better to me in the springtime. I love putting blackberries in my morning or post workout protein shakes in the springtime. Blackberries are very high in antioxidants & tannins, which is great overall for your body. This shake is also great for a mid-afternoon meal replacement shake. Simple and easy this blackberry & strawberry shake can be made in less than three minutes.
1- Scoop whey protein powder
1- Tbsp organic ground flaxseed
1- Cup Blackberries
½- Cup Strawberries
4-5 Ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in blender, mix until desired smoothness. Pour in to chilled glass. Serve and enjoy!
