Weddings are a special time to celebrate; there never seems to be a short supply of them, no matter the weather or how things are going in the economy. A wedding bond may not be forever, but no one is under that mindset during the start and the wedding ceremony.
The mood is celebratory at the most memorable wedding ceremonies and that is something to get excited about. The very best wedding that I’ve ever attended had just that and a few other things that made it so lovely. Here is a brief recap of the most sensational wedding ceremony I’ve yet to experience.
It had a rustic feel
It was out in the country and there were few man-made creations to ruin the feel of nature. There are little scenes as beautiful as the woods and it proved to be enchanting on this night. No offense to banquet halls and hotel ballrooms, but the best wedding ceremony and reception I’ve ever attended occurred in the country under the stars and long arms of giant trees.
Free food and drink
The food had several varieties, as did the open bar. Now I am not condoning nor am I praising alcoholism, but there is something great about free beer and wine at a wedding ceremony. I don’t know, but there seems like more willing people on the dance floor when there is free drinks to go around.
Short and sweet
The wedding ceremony itself didn’t drag on until the spectators fell asleep. The message was honest and touching, while remaining short. The ceremony is sentimental while the reception is that plus a more celebratory feel to it.
The weather permitted
This particular wedding was held during the autumn time in a place that gets all four seasons: it was somewhat of a risk to hold both the ceremony and reception outside, but things worked magnificently and the weather was a bit nippy, but pleasant for the most part.
The one thing about weddings and other events is the cloud of weather dampening the mood, especially if they are held outside. There were back-up options and tents available for those who wished to escape the elements, which is always refreshing.
The hosts were lovely and sweet
No wedding is fun if the hosts are unwelcoming grumps. This was not the case at this wedding, which made things that much more enjoyable and pleasant.
