I think I could eat pizza three or four times a week if not more, with the different varieties you can create on the various crust offered, it is rarely the same pizza twice. Here are some of what I think are the best pizza to be found in Pasadena, I am sure you will find something that peeks your interest and you’re only an order away from the best pie around.
The Luggage Room Pizzeria – What a great pizza find right here in Old Pasadena unlike any other pizza restaurant I have ever visited. General manager Chris Miller and Chef de Cuisine Christopher Pionke had themselves a goldmine going on here. There is a wood burning oven where they use olive wood for extra flavor and spirit, they offer happy hour and food to go is an option. Carefully chosen ingredients come from the local farmers market are the only acceptable ingredients that are used here. I would never think about having figs on a pizza, not in a million years, but that is just what was on this amazing creation called The Padre. Maytag blue cheese, figs, arugula and prosciutto are the ingredients that go on top of a thin crust to complete a very unique pizza combination sure to amaze your taste buds. Located at 260 S. Raymond Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91105 (626) 356-4440
Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana – For a pizza to be claimed as the best outside of Naples from someone who lived there is a high honor and that is just what one reviewer had to say about the Margherita DOC pizza right here at Settebello. This particular pizza has crushed tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, extra virgin olive oil and Parmigiano Reggiano and it is only one of many creations you will find while dining here. A quaint place that offers a great wine selection should you enjoy a glass with your pizza, which is a soft dough that takes but a minute to cook in their wood-burning oven. Because it is authentic, expect some char spots on your crust and that each pizza will be a unique work of art with ingredients that come from such places as:
- Napoli, Italy – Flour
- Salumi, Seattle, WA – Finnochiona
- Fra ‘ Mani Berkeley, CA – Salame
- San Marzano (Napoli), Italy – Tomato
- Parma, Italy – Prosciutto Cotto

Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza – Not only will you find great pizza here, but what is considered to be the highlight of the meal, Blood Orange Lemonade. If you love your thick crust pizza, let me give you a heads up because you won’t find it here, they serve a perfect thin crust for their pizza creations. Be prepared to find a line alongside the building, but this pizza is worth the wait which should be about 180 seconds once your order is put into the oven. Considered to be the “Next Chipotle” this small chain eatery consists of 12 locations now with 21 more coming. Check their website for more information, but definitely check them out.
