Atlanta boasts a buzzing, vibrant night life. Midtown Atlanta offers a wide array of dance clubs, from venues like Cosmolava that attracts young professionals, to clubs like Vanquish that cater to the well heeled crowd and niche clubs, like the Latin flair Loca Luna. In different ways, these clubs offer the best of Atlanta clubs.
With most clubs, you should RSVP on line and reserve a spot, particularly for events. Check to see if they allow you to sign up to the guest list for free entry. General admission can start around $20 per person, with VIP dance floor tables running $1,000. Some allow smoking inside. Some do not. Many clubs have a strictly enforced dress code. So leave the tennis shoes at home

“Cosmolava” is really two clubs, the Cosmopolitan and the Lava. The clubs range over three levels and have five bars. The Cosmopolitan’s bar has a modern, clean feel with a wrap around bar and fire place.
The Lava, is more ornate with mosaics and velvet seating in the main room. Lava has four bars, some awash in glowing lava light. There is a covered outdoor deck and bar, the Tropical Deck. The huge downstairs dance floor has exposed brick walls and is packed on the weekends. Top DJ’s such as JT Donaldson have played there. Cosmolava attracts the young, smart, professional crowd.

A relative newcomer to the Atlanta night scene, Vanquish pulls in both youthful clubbers and the over 40 crowd. Its ornate decor, including paintings and chandeliers, has an upscale feel. It is the scene of many a corporate party. Vanquish has two bars with sofa seating, as well as private booths. It does not allow smoking inside. The large dance floor features table top dancers. Like its sister club Reign, Vanquish offers a posh, intimate atmosphere. And it is expensive. You might even spot a celebrity or two.

From its tiled floor bar strewn with high top tables and palm trees to its dance floor, the Havana Club exudes a certain Latin flair, a taste of old Havana. The 15,000 square foot Club attracts the young, up and coming crowd. There are several themed rooms in which to mingle. Check out the cedar-wood humidor for a selection of cigars.
