We have all had those nights — whether it be after a long night of dancing on the town or just having those late night munchies — when we want scrumptious food no matter how late it is. These food spots are open late and have some delectable options that will satisfy those late night cravings.
Chitas Mexican Grill – Chitas is located right in downtown Sacramento and they have amazing Mexican food. Made fresh to order, their flautas, nachos, and burritos (which are huge) are all to die for! This is a very popular spot, especially after a night at the bar or club. They are open until 2:30am on Fridays and Saturdays and they are always packed with people waiting to get a taste of their menu items. The staff are great but be prepared for large crowds in a small venue. It can get very packed and be cautious going right after the bars close because some customers can get a little rowdy.
Pizza Rock – Pizza Rock is in the perfect location on K Street, right next to a lot of the nightlife of Sacramento. Open until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays, they always cater to the night owls of Sacramento. It is a large restaurant with a variety of pizza that will satisfy all tastes. The Cal Italia and the New Yorker are among the favorites. The décor is awesome and you’re right in the middle of everything in downtown Sacramento.
Ink Eats and Drinks – This place has an awesome rock star kind of vibe with tattooed waiters and bartenders that are chill and helpful. The atmosphere is really relaxed and the food is great! They’re open until 1am on Mondays and Tuesdays, until 2am on Wednesday, until 3am on Thursday, 4am on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 1am on Sunday. They are the definition of a mouthwatering late night eatery. The drinks are strong and you have to try the calamari, weekend brunch, and the buffalo fries.
La Garnacha – This is my favorite late night spot in Sacramento. Located in the downtown area, they have the most amazing nachos and some very satisfying burritos. They are open twenty-four hours a day and all of their seating is on an outside patio. The staff is incredible and always joke around with their customers. They can get pretty crowded right around 2am on the weekends so be prepared to wait a little while for your food. Also, you’re better off parking on the street because the parking lot is very narrow and difficult to navigate in.
