If you are planning a summer party, have you given any thought to the type of party favors you want to use? I for one don’t just like having kids parties, I prefer to have family parties. This is where everyone in the family is invited and included. I have come up with a list of party favors that are really nice for a family summer party that is a little different from the old fashioned family t-shirts. This family party does not have to be a family reunion type party, but can instead be a party for extended family members.
Family themed candy bars
Ordering themed candy bars, is something that can easily be done online. You can order them and have them shipped right to your door. This can be a lot of fun, and is very easy to do. Try to go with plain chocolate since this is what many seem to like. Since it is a barbecue you may want to keep the candy bars in a Ziploc bags, and in a cooler with ice packs not ice. This will keep the bars from melting.
Personalized tote bags are really nice, and easy to get done. You can do the iron on type of bags which will be cheaper if you need to purchase a lot. Or you can order it online, and have it delivered already personalized. Since it is not a family reunion you don’t have to personalize the bag, you can just give the bag away.
Personalized fans are always great gifts for a summer party. You can make them bright and nice looking, and have a pile of them set up for each family member to take. What’s nice about this is that you can order them in bulk and you don’t have to worry about personalized them and putting names on them.
Mint tins can nicely be given away as favors, and there is no need to personalize them. You can order these items online in bulk. Wait until you order them, which should be when everyone has responded that they will be able to attend. This way you are not left with a bunch of mint tins left over that no one can use.
I love the idea of giving away water bottles to friends and family that comes together for a fun summer party. Even if you don’t personalize the bottle you can still give them away. I think it would be a good idea to have stick on labels set up next to the water bottles and a pen or marker. This way as everyone grabs their water bottles, you can have them put on a table so that the water bottles don’t get all mixed up.
