Looking for a job in this economy is close to impossible. With a huge percentage of people out of work, it’s hard to find a field that doesn’t have a lot of competition for even the lowliest of positions. So the only way to find employment is to put as many resumes out as possible and hope somebody bites. Job fairs are among the best way to do this. With dozens of employers at each meeting, it’s highly probable someone will call you in for an interview.
Just a few tips…
It probably goes without saying that interviewers and hiring managers expect a certain persona and decorum when they interrogating-I mean interviewing-a potential employee. Therefore, it is advisable for you to dress the part; even if you’re going in for a dirty job, wear a nice shirt and a tie. Never wear yellow…trust me on this one. Also, it is highly recommended that you bring several resumes with you, as many as fifteen complete copies or more, so you can reach as many employers as possible. And be sure to keep an open mind; becoming fixated on one company or career path will narrow your options considerably.
