If you are not one of the many California residents that have a swimming pool in their back yard, you have to find other ways to get your soak on . Visiting your local water park is a great way to have some fun in the sun and what better way to spend the summer than to treat yourself to a summer pass and enjoy this as much as you want all summer long. Here is the information for my local water park.
Knott’s Soak City Water Park – Located at 8039 Beach Boulevard, Buena Park, CA 90620 (714) 220-5200. The hours of operation vary depending on the day and date so check their calendar & hours to plan your visit. Here are some things to do while visiting the water park:
1. Slides & Attractions – Slides are not just for the kids, this place has slides for everyone, whether you want a short, fun slide or you are a thrill seeker and prefer the longer crazier slides, they have many choices for you as well. A tidal wave is something you would normally keep your distance from but not here, they offer a tidal wave pool as well as the Pacific Spin for those who enjoy the kind of fun found in the tea cups at Disneyland. My favorite is the Sunset River where I can float along the river for as long as I want with nothing to do but relax.
2. Shopping – If you are into the latest surfwear , you can find it here including Knott’s Soak City U.S.A. How cool would it be to buy some of their clothes that featuring the one and only Peanuts. Buy yourself come collectibles right there at Camp Snoopy at Knott’s Berry Farm. You can also shop for some great items at their other shops like their surf shop, Wipeout.
3. Dining – Hamburgers, hot dogs and barbecue ribs are just some of the amazing foods you can enjoy while visiting or if you like to be a bit more frugal you can bring your own food along. They offer you several quick service locations along their midways.
Groups – You can plan a day for yourself, you and your family or if you have a large group they offer special pricing for that as well. Why not have your next company picnic at the water park, how cool would that be? Special pricing for youth groups is also available. Check out the various prices on their Group Sales page.
Admission & Passes – With your purchase of a season pass you will enjoy unlimited visits during the 2014 season. Come spend the entire day or stay for just a couple hours, it’s up to you how much use you get out of your season pass. You can pay a little as $11 in six installments if that works for you. Get more information on their Tickets page.
Other things they offer:
- Birthday Parties
- Cabana Rentals
- Locker & Tube Rentals
Spend the day at the water park and spend the night enjoying Knott’s Berry Farm, or switch it up one day enjoying each location.
