Summer in Colorado can be both fun and exciting. A person could spend an entire summer finding new and different things to do, yet never see it all in one season.
In Denver, there are so many opportunities for fun during any season, while the summer offers activities that are exclusive to the warmer weather. In the south west part of the state, there are additional national parks and monuments, a multitude of hotsprings and rivers to float down. There are festivals of many kinds including the big jazz festival in Telluride, Independence day festivals with water fights, parades, fireworks and food for people of all ages.
With mountains abound and small towns to explore, Colorado offers more than most other states in the country in the summer months.
