Body painting is an activity that will keep your kids active and laughing for hours at a time. Summer time is the perfect time to let your children use body paint.
Kiwi Crate has a great recipe for body paint that is safe for children to use. Your kids can even help you make the body paint, with the exception of the step that involves using a stove. This homemade body paint washes off easily. So easily that you just need to rinse off with the garden hose!

If you have children that love My Pretty Pony, let them paint themselves the colors of their favorite pony. They can spent the day romping around the backyard, re-enacting their favorite cartoon episodes or coming up with their own.

While the paint is still wet, your children can lie down on the sidewalk or patio and leave the imprint of their bodies. For extra fun, add speech bubbles above their heads with funny comments.

Let each of your kids pick a partner. Now let them paint each other. Tell the paintee to close his or her eyes, so that the final product will be a surprise. Take a full length mirror outside, if you can, and let them see their reflections.

If they want to, lead your children through the neighborhood. Let them parade their creativity! They might even find some friends who want to join in on the fun. The more the merrier!
