Many of our fashion trends are pulled directly off the runway, but often times, the beauty trends from the runway are much harder to pull off. Because runway shows are so artistic, the makeup and fashion are usually hard for us regular folks to walk around wearing in everyday life.
But now there is a beauty trend straight off the runway that we may be able to pull off–and that’s thick eye brows. I know what you’re thinking, “I love my eye brows beautifully arched–not thick!” Believe me, I do too, but the thick brows isn’t as un-groomed as you may think. It has the same beautiful shape that you love, but it’s just much thicker and bolder than the usual brow. Here’s a few rules to follow while wearing the thick brow look…
1. Make your eye brows darker. You don’t have to make your eye brows wider if that shape doesn’t seem to fit your face. You can simply make them darker by filling them in with a darker pencil than you would usually use.
2. Don’t let your eye makeup be bolder than your eye brow. With this look, the brow is serving as the eye makeup, so let the eyes be bare with just a little mascara and maybe a little bit of highlighter on the lids.
3. Groom the brows, but not too much. Give a nice shape to the brow, but let them look a little thicker and possibly a little bushier than usual. Trim or pluck any random hairs, but keep the brows looking full—not skimpy or too skinny.
Thick eye brows are not what we’re used to wearing, but I must admit that it does look kind of nice, especially for women that have dark hair. The brows give you a bolder, more exotic look–and I personally like it. Why not give it a try?
