I recently went to the Create Night Club in Los Angeles, California where I was able to see Australia’s number one DJs The Stafford Brothers. Chris and Matt Stafford were the first electronic dance music act to be signed to an American record label. They signed with Cash Money Records in 2012.
In 2010 they had a six part documentary television show titled “The Stafford Brothers” that followed the brothers on their Tour. On the final episode that aired in 2011 they announced they were moving to American to pursue their DJ career.
I was lucky enough to see them perform. I was not sure what to expect because I honestly never heard of them. But they seemed interesting so I decided to go and check them out. I was nervous when I first arrived around 11:00 because the club was really empty. The Create Night Club is always packed. But when midnight started to come, the people came too and the club began to quickly fill up.
The Stafford Brothers like to remix some of the biggest names in music like, Akon, Timbaland and Snoop dog. There debut release through Cash Money Records was called “Hello” which features Lil Wayne and Christina Milian. I think this is why I liked them so much. They are not like the typical DJ that plays music and all sounds the same. They have a unique twist on there style that gets the whole place excited to be there.
I almost passed up this opportunity to see them perform and I am glad I did not. I am now a fan for life and can’t wait until they play in my area again. I will defiantly not hesitate to attend next time. If you haven’t heard of The Stafford Brothers, I suggest you look them up and check them out if they are in your area.
