Yes, a real thorough spring cleaning will take days or weeks to do. Yet, not all of us have days or weeks to devote to cleaning our home. I hope to give my home a thorough cleaning; if I do, I have a plan for that. Yet, due to some personal issues, I know I will be lucky enough to spare a day or an afternoon to spring cleaning. Therefore I plan on making the most of my spring cleaning, even if I have to rush through it. I will begin by following some of these tips:
Organize The Cleaning Products
Yes, the first act of cleaning in a hurry is to have the cleaning products organized and at hand. The best way to do this is by stashing everything that is needed in a handy bucket or carrying tray. Then one can carry this with them from room to room. This can include items such as: clean rags, a multi-purpose cleaner, disinfect spray, garbage bags, dusting polish, and gloves.
Begin By Cleaning Room By Room
This is can be the easiest and speediest way to clean. Tackle the smallest chores in each room first and save the biggest chore last. For instance, in the living room one could begin by dusting and then finish by vacuuming the floor.
Multi-task While You Are Cleaning
Yes, cleaning a room at a time makes things easier. Yet, there are some chores that can be done at the same time. For instance, one could run the washer and dryer while she cleans the living room and bathroom. This means one can wash the bed sheets or any dirty clothes at the same time. One can also run the dish washer while she cleans the bedroom.
Do Extra Chores If You Have The Time
There are extra chores that need to be done once in a while. These chores will keep one’s home cleaner. These chores can be tackled now, if one has the time. This can include items such as washing light fixtures and base boards. Remember time can be saved, if you allow the light fixtures to set in a mixture of warm water and cleaning solution. This will help remove any cake on dirt and grim easier, as well as save one some scrubbing time.
Ask For Help
One shouldn’t think that they should do all the spring cleaning chores themselves, especially if they have a partner or children living at home, who are able to help. Yes, husbands and even children can do some spring cleaning. Husbands can run a vacuum, wipe down walls, or clean the light fixtures. Children can also dust or organize some of their own belongings.
