This part of the spring-cleaning is fun. If you do not mix up your cleaning with a little pleasure on occasion, the spring-cleaning jobs will never get finished.
The supplies needed are: spiced rum, three cups of store bought lemonade (mixed with water all ready), ½ cup of sliced oranges and lemons, dishwashing detergent, and a kiddie pool. Wear your swimsuit and reintroduce your body to Mr. Sunshine.
Add one cup of spiced rum to three cups of lemonade. Throw a ½ cup of sliced lemons and oranges into the liquid and put in the refrigerator to chill.
The Kiddie Pool
Fill the kiddie pool with warm water and ¼ cup of dishwashing detergent. Gather all the small lawn ornaments from the yard and all the portable, foldable lawn chairs. Put the lawn items in the pool making sure they are fully immersed. Let them soak for an hour or two.
Other Lawn Items
The lawn items that were too large to move should wipe be wiped with a vinegar and water mixture. One cup of white vinegar to two cups of water is the ratio. If you run out of the mixture, simply make a new batch. Hose all the fixtures after you wipe them to get off the extra dirt residue.
The Kiddie Pool Again
Remove the items that have been soaking from the kiddie pool. If necessary, wipe the items to remove stubborn dirt. Then dump the solution out. The soap is mild enough that it will not hurt your lawn in any way.
Once you have finished wiping and relocating the yard items, wipe down the kiddie pool. Make sure all the dirt is removed. Then fill it up again with warm water, but no detergent this time. Then go inside and pour yourself a class of Lemonade Rum. Go back outside and sit in the pool. Enjoy the sun, water, lemonade, and your clean yard ornaments and furniture.
