What you will need:
1/2 pound Salmon
1/2 pound ground Turkey
2 tablespoons finely chopped or thinly sliced Almonds
1 teaspoon Apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Olive oil
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
1 clove Garlic
Sprinkle of Cayenne pepper
Sprinkle of Parsley
Sprinkle of Garlic pepper seasoning.
First, dice up and/or crumble your Salmon and Turkey, mixing them together in a ceramic or Pyrex casserole dish. (You can use a canned Salmon, but I prefer to thaw a frozen fillet and dice it up).
Mix all the other ingredients separately in another bowl, making a pasty sauce of all those ingredients and spices. I find that mashing the Avocado with a fork and slowly mixing in the liquids and spices works best.
Next, mix the ingredients from the bowl into the casserole dish with the meat until everything looks evenly distributed.
Heat your oven to 350 and place the casserole dish in for about 40 – 45 minutes. Different ovens may take longer, or may be quicker. I would suggest that after a half hour check by cutting into the center of the casserole to see how far along it’s cooked, and take it from there, depending on your oven.
One other thing you can do is set your oven on broil for the last few minutes. This will give your casserole a nice crunchy crust on top.
When it is done, let sit for at least 5 minutes, serve and enjoy. This meal can easily feed 4 people .
You may also wish to experiment with other spices of your liking.
Everything in this casserole is really good for you too.
