Three things I learned from watching the infamous video where Solange attacks Jay-Z while Beyonce wishes she was home, or some place other than that elevator.
- Don’t make Solange mad
- Even mega rich moguls such as Jay-Z have tension with their in-laws
- Your sister-in-law doesn’t give a shit about you selling millions of records
All kidding aside, it’s not a good sign when your wife daydreams about being somewhere else while your sister-in-law is beating you with her purse. In a twisted kind of way, I’m sure married men everywhere said to themselves “even Jay-Z has a crazy in-law. I’m not alone!”
As for the footage, this was one of those videos where you wish sound was available. Imagine if we could hear what Solange was angry about. That video would break the internet for at least 10 days. TMZ’s servers would ooze smoke as the views and hits come in.
Of course I could imagine what was said in that elevator:
Solange: “Bey, I don’t know why you married this goof ball.
Beyonce: *giggles* “Girl you are crazy.”
Solange: “Has he made one good song, ever?”
Jay-Z: “Have you?” *chuckles*
Solange: “What you say to me?”
And that’s where the onslaught began. If Jay-Z had $520 fewer million to work with, I’d pretend to feel sorry for him.
You have to wonder where Jay and Bey’s marriage is heading. How would you feel if your wife just stood there as her crazy sister pelted you with her 300 lb. purse before attempting a Charlie Murphy to Rick James karate kick?
I believe that their union is in big trouble.
Not only did Beyonce ignore Jay-Z’s obvious screams for help as her angry sister assaulted him, she seemed to enjoy it. After listening to the frightened gangsta rapper beg to “make her stop” for 70 seconds she simply turned to him and said “I ain’t getting in the middle of that, you’re on your own.”
From the beginning to the end of the video, that’s exactly how it looks.
Once they exited the building, Beyonce and Solange allegedly left in one vehicle as Jay-Z sobbed all the way home in a separate luxury vehicle. I’m afraid that their marriage is irreconcilable.
