We all know the story of Job. He went to bed one night in peace and woke up in hell. But for a while he stay quiet, believing God would rescue him, that was until he listened to the bad messages he received from his “friends.” They made him feel doubt in GOD along with self-pity.
Statistics show that social media is how many of us are receiving our messages.
But, unfortunately, just like Job, some of the messages we are receiving are dead wrong, and just like Job they are being posted by people we have accepted as “friends”
Eventually, Job recognized how ignorant his friends were, and as Author and Preacher John MacArthur commented in the “The MacArthur Study Bible,” Job thought that the advice they gave were as useful as a dry river bed in the summer time.
The great thing about social media is just as there have been great advances in delivering messages, there have also been great advances in exercising our greater free will of ignoring bad messages from our FRIENDS.
