Here are five of the things that I believe should be considered when making you own computer. There are other considerations. but these are a few to get you thinking about what you want to do.
Motherboard – There is a certain order that you should buy your computer components. The motherboard should be the first item that you buy, it is what I call the guts of the computer, the most essential part. This motherboard determines many things for example your number of ports and what type of ports, your memory as well as speed and the cover you will put on your new computer depends on the motherboard as well.
Gaming – You need a different processor depending on what you are going to be doing with your computer. I always bought what ever was the most current prepackaged one I could afford figuring it was the best, the fastest and so on but I was wrong. If you are going to be doing a lot of gaming then you need a much better and faster processor and better video card, that being said you will need to install an extra fan to manage how hot you computer will get.
Wireless or Wired – Another consideration is do you want to have you system be hard wired or wireless? There is a speed difference between the two with the hardwired being the faster since it is directly connected. I love the ease or wireless and I pay for the faster service with my internet company.
Operating System – Then you have to decide which windows system you will use. The latest Windows version is 8 which I personally don’t like but then again I bought a per-packaged computer system. When I turn it on there are so many per-installed programs, icons, free trials and so on that it drives me crazy. You don’t have to have all of that stuff if you build your own system, you install only what you want to have and man is that nice. This also allows your system to be faster because it does not have all that junk running in the background.
Cleaning You System – Many of us just use our computers and never even think about opening one up and cleaning it out. This is not a difficult task and will make a difference in your computers performance as well as longevity. With the turn of a screw or two, the side will come off and you will have clear access to clean you system. It would be a good idea to get some tips on this by searching the internet to make sure that you don’t damage your computer.
