Easter is coming! The holiday is filled with colorful things and good feelings, while winter hopefully reposes dormant waiting to come again when the season is right. Put on your crafting hat and get going with these three simple but awesome Easter crafts.
Easter Eggs Made with Household Items
Paper towels aren’t just used for removing the crumbs from the carrot cake anymore; instead, use them creatively and fill the void of boredom. Okay, you aren’t actually using the paper towels, but the tubes that hold them together neatly.
What You Need:
Paper towel tubes
A wide assortment of colorful construction paper
M&Ms (the special Easter time ones work well)
A writing utensil
Crayons or some sort of paint
This one is as simple as it gets, yet it will be fun for the tikes and you for that matter. Simply start out this craft by carefully cutting the cardboard rings into pieces about 1and ¼ inches long. The more the merrier, and after you are done cutting, color the boring brown of the tubes into bright pastel colors. A teal shade would be terrific, or purple, or sky blue. The options for the colors of the tubes are endless.
Next, trace eggs on the construction paper and also carefully cut the egg patterns out. Glue the eggs onto the rings and let dry, before adding M&Ms to the mix.
Creating some sort of bunny ears out of simple materials is awesome, particularly if you can get someone to wear them afterwards. Everybody looks festive and funny in bunny ears, so go ahead and grab the following supplies and make a craft out of it.
What You Need:
A few pieces of card stock or construction paper
A pair of scissors
Glue and double sided tape
Decorate the paper with colorful designs with the crayons, or even chalk will work great. With the other piece of paper, fold it into two and draw the outline of bunny ears. After you cut out the bunny ears, decorate them with cotton balls using a glue stick.
The colored on paper will next be cut into two lengthwise to be folded and taped into a headband. The ears will easily attach on to the headband to make bunny ears.
