There is so much to choose from this day and age when it comes to weddings. We are really bringing romance back this year. Whether your wedding is at the beach or in the country, it’s about keeping it classic, with natural touches, and a splash of color.
The Dress ~
The traditional long dresses and veils are all the rage right now. Adorned with lace and a pop of sparkle. Cremes and whites, with a dash of color somewhere in the mix.
The ring ~
Very hot this year is the floral band with larger diamond in the middle. Keeping it in the family is another trend this year, meaning you may be wearing Grandma’s engagement ring. Also horizontal settings, a way to make your center stone appear larger, with many small stones along the band, is a big seller too.
Flower girls ~
This season is very natural and branchy, with lots of greenery. Head garlands are very popular with natural aspects and a soft combination of flowers.
The flowers ~
This year were heading toward the very romantic and timeless arrangements. Peonies, and hydrangeas that flow and fall about. Citrus and natural branches are also trendy. Over sized bouquets with small embellishments are finding their way into this years trends.
One neutral color with a pop of bright tangerine or indigo. Also hot right now are metallic colors like a neutral color with gold or silver metallic trim.
Keeping with that timeless era, candelabras and chandeliers are making a huge comeback. Very romantic and whimsical. Lots of crystals and sparkle.
Keeping with the seasons is in fashion. For summer keep it fruity, while spring is sparkly and floral, perhaps champagne with lemon lime soda and lemon zest. Winter and Fall are warm and spicy.
Very much like drinks, were sticking with the seasonal cakes. Summer and Spring are light and lemony, while Winter and Fall are dark chocolate and rich in flavor.
Finding that your music fit the theme of the wedding is fun, and it keeps the flow of the wedding going. It is also important to mix songs that everyone is familiar with.
Wedding favors ~
This year were heading toward the petit four, or truffles. The idea is keeping it edible. You can personalize small cakes that imitate your wedding cake, so sweet, literally.
Wedding requests ~
Brides and Grooms are asking that you check your cell phone at the door. They are indeed after an “unplugged” wedding day. In hopes that your attention be on the moments you experience on their day, as opposed to on the web or telling your Mom you will call her later.
