Heirs to 3 of the thrones of Europe, Sweden, Luxembourg, and England, have married in this decade. The royal wedding dresses have lived up to every little girl’s dream of a princess wedding gown. Each is the definition of modesty, beauty and timeless elegance.

Silk Simplicity: Princess Victoria
Princess Victoria of Sweden, heir apparent, married Daniel Westling on June 19, 2010, in Stockholm Cathedral. Her silk satin wedding gown, a crowd favorite, was designed by Swedish designer Par Engsheden. The nearly off the shoulders neckline and short sleeves were a perfect balance between required modesty and a summer wedding. The dress featured a high waist with a simple sash and few embellishments on the skirt. The 16 ft. detachable train was stunning and practical for a wedding day that included carriage rides, speeches and boating. Click here for more wedding details:
Lacily Regal: Countess Stéphanie
Countess Stéphanie de Lannoy married Prince Guillaume de Luxembourg, heir apparent on October 20, 2012. They were married in Notre Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg. The Countess’ dress was designed by Lebanese designer Elie Saab. The ivory lace gown featured a high rounded neckline and ¾ length sleeves. Her train and veil were 13 feet long and the skirt is rumored by the royal forums to have had 12 layers. She topped the look off with the Lannoy family tiara.

Timeless Elegance: Princess Kate
Catherine (Kate) Middleton married Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and second in line to the throne of England on April 29, 2011. The ceremony took place in Westminster Abbey in London. Kate’s satin dress is my personal favorite of the three royal dresses. It was designed by English designer Sarah Burton and featured an intricate lace bodice. Her veil was held in place by a tiara lent to her by the queen. The long sleeved lace bodice and flared skirt created a regal elegance and showed off her figure stunningly.
