This world is so strange. The light is not as strong over here in the darkness. Mom and Carrie are walking besides me, Brian and Daniel walking behind us, and Terri leading the way. We are following the energy of Rosemary hoping to find her so we can find out more about what’s going on.
We stopped by a placid lake that looked more like goo than water. We could feel that we were getting closer to her but was walking for a long time and needed to take a rest. It’s been quiet. No sounds from around us or from us. Everybody looked tired and annoyed so I said, “Look, you guys I know you don’t want to be here so let me finish this.”
Mom said, “We’re here now. We’ll finish it with you.”
I looked at everyone and said, “You don’t have to. Rosemary is my friend. You can leave if you want.”
Brian said, “I’m not going anywhere. You’re my sister and I’m staying with you whether I want to or not. I’m not letting you fight alone.”
Carrie, Terrie, and Daniel agreed and I said, “Okay. Don’t say I didn’t give you the opportunity to leave.”
Daniel, Carrie, and Terri grinned.
Mom was looking intently in the water and I said, “What are you looking at?”
She raised a crooked finger to her lips to tell me to be quiet. Daniel, Carrie, and Terrie looked alarmed and immediately got into fight mode. I did the same.
From out of the spot mom was staring at bubbles began to rise. At first it started off slow and quiet then it became very intense and loud. Out of the middle of the bubbles rose a weird looking creature that resembled a guinea pig mixed with rhino. It rose in the air and then landed on the ground in front of mom. Mom was looking curiously at the creature and she put her hand out to us to not attack it and then she said, “Markus?” It grunted and said, “I’m surprise you recognize me after all these years.” She laughed and he jumped in her lap. They hugged and we relaxed a little. The creature looked at us and said, “So you’re the children of this marvelous lady.”
We smiled and then he said, “I know why you’re here. Word travels fast in these parts. I can take you to Rosemary.”
I became excited and said, “Well, take us!” He put out a tiny paw to tell me to slow down and he said,
“I can take you but trust me you’re not going to like what you see.”
