Some people are afraid to play around with their Android tablet to figure things out, so they will look for tips on how to do things. There is nothing wrong with that! The fear of messing your tablet up by playing with it is normal. That’s why I want to offer you some quick tips on using Chrome on your RCA 7″ tablet. There are many shortcuts and other things you can do in Chrome on your tablet. Take a look below for some great tips that will help you surf the web easily.
Open a Link in a New Tab
When I first started using my tablet, I would get frustrated because I didn’t know you could open a link in a new tab, so I was forever hitting the back arrow and spending little time in Chrome. When you want to open a link in a new tab, tap and hold the link, button, or image. Hold it until you see the menu pop up and then tap the “Open in New Tab” option. A new tab will open and you can continue browsing the window you are in, or tap the new tab to view the link you opened.
Save an Image to Your Tablet
You can also save images from Chrome to your RCA 7″ tablet. To do this, you simply find the image you want to save and tap and hold the image. In a second or two, you will see the menu pop up and you will need to select the “Save Image” option. The image will be saved in your Gallery folder on your tablet.
Open a New Tab
There are two ways to open a new tab in Chrome on your RCA 7″ tablet. The first way is to tap the little tab beside the big tab. The second way is to tap the three dot icon on the right side of the browser and then select the “New Tab” option.
View Your Chrome History
To view your history, tap the three dot icon at the end of the address bar in Chrome. When the menu opens, find the “History” link and tap it. That will open a new tab and display the history of your browser.
To bookmark websites, you will need to open the website you want to bookmark. Then locate the star in the address bar and tap it. When the window pops up, tap the Save button. You can also edit the name of the bookmark by tapping the “Name” field and typing what you want in it.
Save a Link to Your Tablet
To save a link to your tablet, tap and hold the link. When the menu pops up, find the “Save Link” option and tap it. The link will then be saved to your tablet.
I hope these quick tips will help you get around Chrome a lot easier on your tablet. Not knowing how to do the simple things can drive you crazy. If you need more help with using your RCA 7″ tablet, please see my other articles on this device.
