The following games are great for those times in your day when you want to unwind but not be totally lazy. Your body will be relaxed but your mind will still be working. At first these games appear simple, but each of them offers a complexity that will stretch your brain muscles.
My first reaction playing 2048 was panic, thinking this was a math game. Don’t worry, you won’t need to use those math skills you haven’t used since school. Numbers are involved, in that you’ll be pairing numbers together on a 4×4 square. Each move you’ll be given a new number, either a 2 or a 4. As you pair up the numbers their value increase. Keep pairing them up to try to get one square of 2048. If you think the game is over at that point, you’re wrong. By then you’ll be so addicted you’ll want to go for 4096, and then 8192, and then…
This app will take you back to a simpler time when you were a kid playing with blocks. With LetsTans you’ll find out that the round peg still doesn’t fit in the square hole. The game offers a variety of puzzles in categories ranging in easy, medium, and hard. With each puzzle you will need to figure out how the pieces you’re given fit into the outline presented.
To complete a puzzle in LYNE what you need to do is connect the same shape together using one line. Sounds simple until multiple shapes are introduced and you can’t have any of the lines intersect. Simple, yet complex this game boasts a multitude of puzzles within each level as well as new puzzles daily.
In this game you gain points for connecting letters to spell words. The trick is that as you spell out words the letters that were used disappear. The goal is to try to erase the entire board. Easier said then done, as you’ll find that clearing letters cause huge gaps to appear. As more letters are removed it becomes even trickier coming up with words to spell.
