Online dating is can be a rather sensitive topic for some or a topic no one really knows how to respond to. How do most people who haven’t tried online dating have so many opinions on it? How do we know if this person is real? Or is true to their words? If you have issues finding someone in person why not really consider online dating? Everything has it’s pros and cons.
One “pro” is that there are hundreds and millions of hopeful matches, at least one of them can make you feel like you’ve never felt before. You have a very extensive list of people that you can connect with and you have the ability to choose what features you would prefer. There are so many choices you can choose form it’s ridiculous, doctor, manager, consultant, entrepreneur, long hair, brown eyes, tall, dark and every detail in between, the list goes on.
Online dating is so convenient because it doesn’t have the hassle of scheduling your time so you can get dressed to meet someone somewhere and a specific time. You can roll right into bed after work and chat it up with your potential romeo. Dating websites also provide fast results because you are able to search exactly what you’re looking for; This amps up the convenience level! Great for big business people with very little time on their hands
Because this is all online you would not be as shy as you would be in person; Confidence levels are definitely boosted, which makes rejection more tolerable. Instead of sulking in your failed attempts you can just move onto the next candidate. Because your confidence has escalated your conversations will go smoother and have a natural flow, as opposed to awkwardly thinking of a next topic to converse on a date.
Most dating websites are free, which are a plus. Even those which require a membership fee, this is still a big saving because the cost of membership would not compare to that of a real date(unless you went to McDonalds).
While setting up your online dating profile I suggest you display just enough information so a personal can have the basic idea of what you’re about, just don’t give away everything. Leave room for getting to know each other in a conversation because if you posted everything about you there would be nothing more interesting to add. Please do not lie, lying will negatively impact your search results and wrongly match you with someone else. Also, you should not wait too long after finding out you’re interesting in someone to then take them out on a real date, the constant speaking online will eventually grow tiresome.
Don’t be catfished! You do not want to stumble upon any fake profiles, this could be dangerous and/or fatal. If you plan to meet up with someone make sure it’s in a public place, also if they fail to show on numerous occasions with simple or over the top excuses it may be time to say goodbye to that individual. Search with caution!
Have a good search!
