I have had a Kindle for a few months, long enough to get to know it well. It is a handy way to read books for someone who reads a lot. I like to read 3 or 4 books a month. I take my Kindle with me most places and I use it a lot at home. I don’t have as many paper books anymore since my Kindle can carry many books in one nice small location. For the most part I love my kindle. I can take many books with me when I travel so I never run out of things to read. If I do run out of good books to read I simply turn on the wireless on my Kindle and get a new book.
It fits into my purse so I can carry it easily. Now I can read anywhere without hauling around a paper book. I can even go on my exercise machine and read my kindle.
I never have overdue charges since when it is time for a book to be returned it simply goes back to the library from my Kindle without me lifting a finger to do it. Checking out a book is easy as well since I can look at books and descriptions from the comfort of my sofa. The battery lasts a long time so I don’t have to charge it much but when it does run out of battery it is really out and I can’t squeeze out another minute. My husband also has a Kindle and his battery ran so low that it no longer works. The world of batteries can be frustrating.
For the most part my Kindle is really handy and I have found that it is easy to use. I can get books on it without going to the library and hauling around a bunch of heavy books. And I can return the books easily. It travels well and I can take it pretty much everywhere. But the battery can be a problem if I don’t keep track of it.
One other setback is that I worry about dropping it and breaking it. I have a nice cover on my kindle and I recommend that everyone who has a Kindle put a nice cover on it. My Kindle has been saved many times because of the nice cover. I tend to drop it a lot but the cover keeps it protected.
