If you have made the decision to leave the wedding invitations up to the professionals you have made a wise decision. Doing so gives the bride and groom one less thing to worry about. Yet, there are many different options to chose at a variety of different price points for your budget.
Digital Printing – This is by far the most simple and least expensive type of invitation to chose from. When it comes to digital printing, your options are endless because basically anything can be printed with this method. You can also customize fonts, wording, layout and card style to create a truly unique invitation.
Letterpress – Beautiful and traditional indeed is this lovely invitation type. These kinds of invitations have been around for hundreds of years and are made using a high-powered press. Your design will be laid out in a mold and then pressed onto paper chosen by the bride and groom for an engraved look. This is a more expensive option but leaves you with an elegant invitation fit for a royal wedding.
Thermography – This is an invitation that is the final result of heat being used to lift ink above paper giving it a three-dimensional look.
Handmade & Multi-Layered – These kinds of invitations require the most work but provide a final result that is truly captivating. These kinds of invitations give the bride and groom the freedom of creativity as they can be as simple or complicated as desired. The more complex the design the more expensive the invitation is going to be.
If you go for a design that causes more labour and work, it is going to cost you more in the long run. Yet, even the most complex digitally printed designs are not going to cost you an arm and a leg and offer you a quick final product. Invitations that are going to cost you the most money include letterpress and thermography ranging from ten dollars per unit all the way to fifty dollars – and that is before including envelopes.
Gathering together the basic information and design that you wish your invitation to have is the first step. From there you can figure out which form of invitation will work best for your needs and desires.
